Eureka delivers you a weekly alternative to Online Crosswords, Puzzles, Sudoku and Brainteasers.
Eureka is a thinking game, not a guessing game. Your challenge is to understand what each cartoon stands for and then to provide the caption for it. You may see it straight away but more likely you will not. Once your subconscious has had a chance to work on it the caption may just come to you. Very likely you will be doing something completely unrelated at the time.
That's your 'Eureka Moment'
This is how it works...
Each cartoon already has its own unique caption. Your challenge is to figure out what that caption is. Once you think you’ve got it, you submit your caption by typing it in the box below the cartoon and then clicking the “Send” button.
Each caption you submit is compared against the cartoon’s unique caption. You are immediately advised whether the caption you submitted was correct or not.
You can either play the game for free or become a member and play the game weekly. Members have the opportunity to use their skill to win the weekly prize offered.
Free Test Drive
If you just want to try your skill, go to the Home Page and try it out. Every month, five cartoons are put up on Eureka’s free to use Home Page. Anyone who wants to can try their skill at solving these games.
Member’s Only Game Page
Until such time as you subscribe and login the Member's Only Game Page is not available for you to view. Every week a set of three (3) cartoons is loaded on the member’s only game page. Each cartoon already has a unique caption. Each caption you submit is compared against that caption and you are immediately advised whether your caption was correct or not.
As a member your challenge is to correctly caption those three cartoons in no more than seven (7) attempts. The weekly prize is awarded to the first member to correctly captions all three cartoons in the least number of attempts. In practice this will usually be the first person to correctly caption all three cartoons in a total of three attempts.
A new game is posted every Monday at midday New Zealand time. Once a new game is loaded the previous one is no longer available to be captioned. By default you will be notified by email when a new game is loaded. When you subscribe you can choose not to be notified by unchecking the new game notification check box.
A Subscription to Eureka costs $NZ 5.00 per month. There are no additional charges.
When you subscribe, please take great care to type your email address correctly. If you make an error when typing your email address we will be unable to send you your unique logon password.
Spelling
Eureka uses British (as opposed to American) English and correct spelling, including hyphens and apostrophes, is extremely important. The captions are not case sensitive.
Cancellation
You can cancel anytime and there are no cancellation fees. See our refunds policy in the Terms and Conditions section.
