Eureka is a New Zealand based Internet game company. It offers a simple weekly internet caption game to its subscribers. Each weekly game requires its subscribers to supply the correct captions for a set of three cartoons. Eureka is a game of skill. The challenge for subscribers is to use their intelligence, their ability to think creatively and their general knowledge to understand what a cartoon stands for and then provide the caption for it.
Eureka uses British English. As we are New Zealand based some captions may be terms in common use in New Zealand. Such captions will however be the exception, not the rule.
To eliminate the need to fund its site by selling third party advertising, Eureka has chosen to use a subscription model. The game is intended to be a fun, quick and low cost diversion.
